I’m into intersectional anarchafeminism, birds (especially my budgie, Timmy), the Earth and the things that come from it, reading, writing, activism, and marijuana.  I’m living with fibromyalgia (etc…), and I also love punk rock with all my heart.

I'm just starting my own journey with having Fibro. Any advice or suggestions?

I’m sorry to hear that, love. Uhmm.. swimming has REALLY helped. It’s the only time I can really move/stretch my muscles without them killing me, and it’s helped strengthen them so that my pain has lessened overall.

I swear my marijuana, but obviously it affects everyone differently, just as any other drugs. I also take tecta for acid reflux, gabapentin for my nerve sensitivity, cipralex, clonazopam, and tramadol for my pain.

I’ve found acupuncture and massage to be too intense for my body, personally. But I’ve heard it helps some people. I’d also auggest cutting potatos, tomatos, zuccinis, bananas, and other nightshade foods out of your diet, as they can cause flare-ups in many people with fibro.

Also, talk to people about what you’re going through. Assert yourself, and ask for help when you need it. Don’t be afraid to take a day off, and DEF make sure to register with your schools centre for students with disabilities.

If you have any other specific questions, feel free to ask me and I’ll do my best to provide a useful answer. Good luck with this journal of learning (because that’s totally what it is). I’m always here if you want to chat<3xo.
